Why this guide exists and who it is written for
Smart Wave Digital was created to fill a narrow gap: a reference that describes hospitality properties in a consistent voice, without selling anything. Readers who want to understand what a hotel or resort is — its setting, its rooms, its dining and its surroundings — before visiting an official listing page will find each entry structured the same way.
The guide is written for independent travellers, researchers and anyone comparing properties across provinces. It assumes the reader will make their own decisions about where to stay and will confirm details directly with the property or its booking platform.
We do not target a single demographic or travel style. The collection spans historic riverside resorts, downtown casino hotels and countryside properties — united only by the method of description, not by a shared accommodation tier or star-ranking of our own.
How properties are described — the same categories applied to every entry
Every property in this guide is read through five categories: arrival, rooms, dining, public space and surroundings. These headings appear in the same order regardless of whether the property is a five-star resort or a three-star downtown hotel.
This consistency is deliberate. A reader moving between entries should not need to relearn the structure or hunt for information buried in marketing copy. What changes is the content; the framework stays fixed.
Descriptions are grounded in publicly available facts — category, star class, setting and location — and avoid inventing amenities, room counts or facility names that we cannot verify. Where a property includes a casino, a golf course or a waterfront position, that is stated; where it does not, it is not implied.
What this site does not do: no bookings, no payments, no availability, no ranking
Smart Wave Digital does not process reservations, hold rooms, display commercial terms or show availability calendars. There is no basket, no date picker and no search that pretends to query a live inventory. The site describes; it does not transact.
We do not rank properties against one another or assign review scores of our own. Star classes mentioned in entries reflect the classification supplied by the property's category data, not an editorial judgement from this guide.
